Gerakini is a small village located centrally between the peninsulas of Kassandra and Sithonia.

•Beaches

The beach at Gerakini leads down to translucent waters where you can cool off from the sun's rays. It's a great location for sun worshippers looking for a beach on which they can completely relax.

•Eating out

Try some of the local cuisine for a real taste of Greece. Fresh fish and shellfish are particularly popular in Halkidiki. They will usually be served with a Greek salad, and washed down with a glass of local ouzo.

•Nightlife

Nightlife here is geared more towards peace and quiet than hustle and bustle. When evening comes, wander around the shops or stroll along the coastline, before settling down with a cold, refreshing glass of wine to watch the glorious Greek sun set over the sea.

•Shopping

Gerakini has some good shopping if you're looking for something to take home such as local handicrafts, jewellery or souvenirs.
